I'm Laura and I'm a designer/photographer based in the north east of England. I've been designing for several years now, and have produced mostly editorial work for the likes of Marks & Spencer, and architectural practices in London, as well as advertising materials for a metal night at the London Stone on Cannon Street. I'm particularly drawn to digital work, and I try to include as much photography as I can within my work. I've been using film photography since the age of ten, but I went digital in 2004, which has sped up my workflow no end! I've been using Photoshop since 2003, InDesign since 2006, and Illustrator since 2008. I am also in the process of learning Dreamweaver, with the intention of coding my sites myself.
I currently write several other blogs but I'm writing this one for the benefit of my students, and aim to post entries on design, exhibitions, and tutorials. I've chosen this template from a range of free templates available online - it's always difficult to try to decide what best sums up 'you', but I chose this one because its ornaments are very 'Victorian' in appearance, and I'm really drawn to vintage design, particularly Victoriana.
I'll probably end up changing the theme of the blog again, as I like to change my templates with some regularity, although my fondness for all things vintage will probably see me choosing more design templates within the 'retro' family.
Happy blogging!
